These are 'Giveaway' bottles from the early 20th century. They were made in Germany and given away by bar owners etc. with a nip or two of whiskey or other spirit. Some are larger than a normal miniature bottle. Schafer & Vater made a huge range of ceramics, not all of which were bottles. There are probably thousands of different bottle variations. If you do spot any we have shown here that are not bottles, please let us know. A few were also given away in other countries but are included here for the sake of clarity. Note that some bottles come in different sizes and this is noted where we know for certain.
