| Note: The situation with Welsh distillery companies is complicated. Welsh Distillers was originally called The Welsh Whisky Company. It also used the name Brecon Brewery Co. Following a 'colourful' history (well worth reading on-line) it ceased trading in 1998. A new, completely unconnected company, bought the assets under the name Welsh Whisky Ltd. Confusingly, this company changed it's name to The Welsh Whisky Co. and has also used the name Brecon Brewery. Bottles made after 1998 are here, bottles made before 1998 are listed under Welsh Distillers. Please let us know if any are in the wrong directory. |
